Tuffley Park
: Ery Burns
Listen to the audio
Listen to Clive as he describes what the area was like when he was a boy
About the Art
Ery Burns co-designed with pupils from Calton Primary School to generate ideas inspired by an interview with local resident and sportsman Clive Wootton. Clive grew up in Podsmead in the 40s and 50s and attended Calton Primary school.
In the audio Clive describes what the area was like when he was a boy and the ways him and his friends used to play outdoors. Ery was selected as the artist, because her artworks connect to the childlike state of wonderment and visual stimulation that Clive describes in his interview.

About the Artist
Ery is an artist from Bristol with a bold graphic style that has attracted a wide range of clients from Virgin Holidays to Microsoft, The Guardian, and the Washington Post.
"I was a weirdly curious but shy child with a vivid imagination...so I created my own escape with a drawing world where the possibilities were endless. My paintings are about the childlike state of wonderment and visual stimulation that people tend to lose as they get older, or more jaded by the world."
