About the Art
Between 1926 and 1973, before it become the home to the county’s archives, the Heritage Hub building was a school. In 2006 the Heritage Hub held an Open Day to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Gloucestershire Archives and the 80th anniversary of the school. Over 200 former pupils visited to reminisce and share their memories.
Hope is a local artist and illustrator who has taken inspiration from the open day interviews, and has used retro fonts and styles to represent the different decades the memories have come from. The audio was recorded with 2023 pupils from Kingsholm C of E Primary School.

About the Artist
Hope Hanni Eva is an Artist and illustrator based in Bristol and the Cotswolds, who has created murals and artworks for a range of local organisations and clients.
"I’m a multidisciplinary artist inspired by all things fairytale, circus and theatre. I have a deep appreciation for the traditional crafts and often my process is influenced by this. I hope my work reflects my love for the magic that’s found in the everyday, often using bold colours and gold embellishments.
I have experience with many commissions, such as collaborating with a landscape and interior designer to produce a range of outdoor fabrics. Taking my hand painted designs to fabric print and then sewing articles for the final product shoot and launch.
And here we are now, I am hugely grateful to be apart of this project with GAS Projects! Signwriting is a recent and evolving love of mine, so having the opportunity to work alongside many talented creatives, hearing old stories of The Heritage Hub and building these designs has been a true honour. I hope these pieces bring you as much joy as I had making them."
We are very grateful for the support of these organisations to make GAWP WORD WALK possible:
